I have had it. I know the rest of you deal with this too and damn it irritates me. There are professionals in this industry but there is a low brow group that operates by hammering as many emails as possible into as many inboxes as they possible can. Take for instance this recent entry into my inbox.

Please, if you are in the market for SEO services give a real professional a chance and ignore these low brow scum that insist on polluting the internet with their vile spam. The person you are looking for will have a knowledge of building websites that have valid, strict, semantic HTML that separates the HTML and the style by using CSS. They should also have a working knowledge of Google Adwords. And they should be honest with you in that it takes a LOT of work to get to #1. You have to write and write and write some more and you have to optimize and promote and investigate and network and write some more…
Oh and here is another clue… they will have an email address that is not Yahoo, Hotmail or Gmail.
