Bear with me for a minute while I get this out… Recently I was reminded of a situation several months ago where with good intentions I released a module for free that contained the previous version of the Repeet Module by Brent C. Wilson. I did it with good intentions. I know my developer tried to contact Brent and I was trying to answer a need in the community for a Calendar Module. But the fact remains that we never received written permission from Brent to release the code that he had supplied to the community for free for so long. So when I realized the mistake I immediately tried to work something out with Brent but I had offended him too badly to recover. Rightly so. Looking back at it (even before what I am about to get into) I was in the wrong. I apologized publicly back when it happened because I knew what I did was wrong no matter what the intentions.

I have had it. I know the rest of you deal with this too and damn it irritates me. There are professionals in this industry but there is a low brow group that operates by hammering as many emails as possible into as many inboxes as they possible can. Take for instance this recent entry into my inbox.
